Job Description
Since 1851, Glens Falls National Bank has been helping individuals and businesses of the North Country meet their financial goals. We have 30 offices from Clinton to Saratoga counties and offer a broad range of personal and commercial banking, retirement, investment and insurance services

In this position you will be responsible for leading, training, and developing assigned team; identifying and resolving errors; facilitating change controls for error prevention; and implementing process improvements.  Responsibilities will also include research data for management reports/projects and oversees quality control of data.  Ensures compliance with Company policies as well as applicable state and federal regulations.  Provide service to customers, operational support to branch personnel, and assistance to management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§      Assist Deposit Operations management in defining team member roles and responsibilities; train and develop team members

§      Manage problem resolution through recommendations and results

§      Formulate and implement strategies and processes to achieve department goals

§      Oversee quality control of data according to department policies and procedures

§      Identify and implement process improvements

§      Lead team through day-to-day operations and special assignments; assign and prioritize work within unit and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion and quality service

§      Manage, coach and counsel staff to meet department goals and achieve performance standards; encourage continuous improvement for career development

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications/Experience:

§          Bachlors Degree or equivalent experience required

§          6+ years of experience required; banking experience preferred

§          2+ years of supervisory experience preferred

§          AAP Certification preferred

Skills/Knowledge:

§      Extensive knowledge of banking rules and regulations pertaining to deposit accounts including knowledge of NACHA rules

§      Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and providing resolutions to problems

§      Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills

§      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn and adapt to technology and product changes

§      Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.

Other:

§          Travel for offsite training may be required



 

 

 

 

 

 

Work Schedule
40 hour work week: Monday - Friday with a rotating Saturday schedule
